Respond In Love When Children Tattle

Helping Shepherd

Moms, God calls us to show up for our children when they are in distress. We are created to nurture, teach, counsel, support, and direct them to take the right path. It’s in the little silly fights our kids get in that we can teach them to share, problem solve, compromise, and walk in grace.

Kids fight because they struggle with selfishness and competition. They are sinners just like you and me. Jesus came for the sinners. He is the Good Shepherd. We can be good shepherds too over our little herd.

Today I’m a guest writer over at Jenn’s Blog – busy being Blessed
Jenn invited me to join her series – Imperfect Mom Confessional

I had to jump right in.  I read the word imperfect Mom and I felt right at home.   It’s great to know that we don’t have to be perfect.  I’m convinced that God gave me the kids He gave me to  help me grow up.  Everyday is another day of learning how to love better and die to myself.  Parenting is so much harder then I ever imagined it would be.  Yet it is the most rewarding thing I have ever done.

One of my biggest struggles is facing conflict.  I just want everyone to get along and be happy.  And that’s not reality is it?

My kids fighting with each other literally gets under my skin and makes me want to scream.

My post that is published over at Jenn’s blog talks about Seven Healthy Ways to Respond To Kids When They Tattle

Come and join my Imperfect Mom Confessional and some ideas to make sibling rivalry just a little bit easier.
