Creator Of Blog – Lisa Brown

2 me and the kids

Howdy!!!!!

I hope by now you have had a chance to read This Blog Is About !!!!

Blog has been alive since August 2014.   Writing for this Community has been life changing and very rewarding.  We would not be here today if it were not for guest writers volunteering their time to write for you.

In this coming up year (2017) there will be a new team of writers sharing their stories, wisdom, knowledge and understanding.  I look forward to introducing them to you.  Our team is in the making and getting ready to bring inspiration to your everyday living.

A Little Bit About Me

I was forty when I got married in 2006. I had my first child in 2008 and my second child in 2010. I will let you do the math. I will just say, “I am not a young mom.”

I’m so in love with with my husband. We live in Colorado with our awesome son and pretty little girl.

We are a homeschooling family!

My Spiritual Journey

I have been a Christian since I was age eight. And everyday I’m still learning about God’s amazing grace and unconditional love.   My life is devoted to Him and I praise Him for giving me strength to live life as is.  I can count on God to bring me through any trial that comes my way.  I have learned that it is God Almighty who helps me overcome.  There is nothing for me to fear.

God helps me when I struggle with depression, anxiety and insecurity.  He has pulled me out of the pit and made me new.  He held me tight when I went through a miscarriage.

Each and everyday God helps me care for my family.  He knows that I struggle with parenting issues.  He reminds me that he is incontrol when I feel like I’m failing my children or letting my husband down.   He helps me get back up when I mess up.   He shows me how to love.  He reminds me that I’m His child and I’m learning.  He doesn’t expect me to know everything or fix every problem.   He just asks that I trust Him.  He has my back and my family is in hands.  I’m learning to surrendar my worries to Him.   The more I cling to Him the better my days go!!!!

My Background and Education

I have my BS in Social Work and Early Childhood Education.  I worked in the field as a Counselor with kids and families for five years.  And for over twenty years I worked as a Teacher and Care Taker in Early Childhood Education.   I’ve been a leader in Children’s Ministries and Day Camps.

I thank God for allowing me to serve families!!!  It wasn’t always easy.  But it was very rewarding to live life with so many children and their parents.  I learned alot from every child God put in my path.    It was a great experience.

Now I would like to serve families through this blog!

The Path God Has Me On Now

The path God has me on now is to be a writer and blogger.  To encourage, relate, and inspire.  To bring hope to you!!!  To work with a  writing team to help you with your struggles!!!   Parenting is not easy.  Marriage is challenging.  And living the Christian life has it’s ups and downs.

There is no need to do these things without the support of others!

I know what it’s like to see life turned upside down when expectations are not met.   I understand disappointment and confusion.  I get frustrated when things get hard.

But I’m always looking for better ways to parent and love.  I’m always seeking healthy solutions and I don’t stop until I find something good that works.   I’m here to share my experiences and success with you.  I’m real, honest, and vulnerable.  I don’t have a solution for every battle.  And my solutions may work in my situations and not in yours.   My goal is to help you discover your own solutions that will work for you as a parent and wife.  We all need from time to time to read other peoples stories and ideas.

My goal is to help you discover your own solultions that will work for you as a parent and wife.  We all need from time to time to read other peoples stories and ideas.

My desire is to bring you the best inspiration.  My inspiration comes from my faith in Christ!  May you experience God’s love in every word you read and idea that is shared.  May you walk away with some new things to try.   May you feel empowered by truth.

May this blog give you fun things and ideas that you can do with your kids!!!

May we help bring joy to you!!!!

  3. Good morning Lisa,

I was led to your blog through your reply to my comment at Faith Barista that simply said “Me too”, but in those two small words said so much more. I have subscribed to your blog and look forward to getting to know you here, and I hope also at my blog incrementalhealing.wordpress.com

    • Dearest Kamea I recognized right away who you were when I read your name in my inbox for my blog. I feel blessed that we have connected. I spent a few seconds on your blog this morning. I look forward to spending more time reading your posts. I have a sense that God is going to speak to me through your writing. I couldn’t stay as long as I would of liked. My kids are little and we home school. But I bet I will have some time later. Thank you for joining our community. Your voice matters and I look forward to sharing life with you.

  5. Hi Lisa! I’m so glad you found my blog on Equipping Godly Women because it has led me to find yours!!! We homeschool also and I can’t wait to read more here! I’m also working on an eBook right now on depression. It is such a serious issue and can be so debilitating and I’m hoping to encourage others through prayer and God’s Word. So delighted to “meet” you and looking forward to connecting! Blessings 🙂
