Another wonderful writer joins our Community Writing Team – Andrea Fortenberry

Fortenberry Family

I’m pleased to introduce you to Andrea.  I met Andrea through Compel, a writing group through Proverbs 31 ministry.  Andrea wrote a post for one of our blog series and she really communicates grace through her words.  This sweet lady has a talent for writing and I like what she has to share.  She is my kind of girl!  I can so relate to what she shares.  Here are two of my favorite posts that she has written on her blog.  When you get a second you got to check them out.  Her words are so affirming and relational.  http://www.andreafortenberry.com/2015/05/calling-all-super-moms.html

Andrea really got my attention when she shared with me how much she loves to read and she likes hanging out in book stores.  A girl after my own heart.  When I went to her blog and read her post about the books she recommends, I knew right then and there that Andrea Fortenberry needs to hang out with us in our community.  She is the kind of person I want to connect with more.   Following is the post I’m talking about.  Great books!!!

Please Welcome our New Friend and her beautiful family!!!

Here is what our friend has to share about her journey as a writer and person.  I can’t wait to read more from her.

Andrea Fortenberry lives near Phoenix, Arizona with her husband of 11 years and two children, ages seven and four. She writes and speaks on relationships, family and faith. Her recent work includes publication in Chicken Soup for the Soul: Devotional Stories for Wives. She has a journalism degree from Pepperdine University and is a graduate of She Speaks, a program of Proverbs 31 Ministries.

In addition to her roles as wife, mom and communicator, she serves with women’s ministry at her church in various capacities, one of which is coordinating the writing team.

Andrea enjoys wandering around bookstores and meeting friends for coffee, although she’s not a coffee drinker herself. (She prefers a good chai latte instead.) She loves traveling, has had her passport since age two, and has been to nearly 20 countries.
