Who can we trust? Who will protect our Country? Who will stop terrorist attacks?
Who are we the people putting our trust in?
We want freedom and security. We want peace on earth.
Is there one Presidential Candidate that can do this for us?
I’ve listened to both Republican and Democratic debates. I don’t agree with both parties. I have a pretty good idea who I will vote for.
But that is not what this post is about. This blog is not a place for political debate. So please don’t comment on who you will vote for.
We must vote when it’s election time. We must study up and know what is happening. Who will make the biggest change for the good?
Our children live in a horrible world and as a Mom this grieves me. I’m disturbed by how awful people can be and I will do everything I can to protect my kids.
I remember choosing one time to not vote because I didn’t like any of the candidates. Months later and even years later I regretted that decision.
We must spend time in prayer and let Jesus lead us.
We must vote for the one that we think will meet our most important expectations. We need to know what matters to us and to others. It’s time we Seek Godly Counsel. My husband teaches me a great deal about what our Country needs and doesn’t. He studies to show himself approved. I trust his input. Find someone to discuss issues with that you trust.
My emotions are filled with underlying stress. I’m feeling very uneasy about the direction our Country could go if the wrong President is elected.
There is one that keeps me from drowning in fear and His Birthday is coming up in a few days. Jesus.
He is the only one I will put my complete hope in. He will deliver us. He is the Prince of peace. Our home is not here. Our home is with Him.
Today I will leave you with this poem. May this Christmas fill your hearts with His everlasting love. No one or nothing can take Jesus from us.
Happy Birthday Jesus and God Bless America!
Take a moment and let this poem speak to your heart. May you find rest in Jesus. This poem was written by our Community Writer Rachelle Alspaugh. It’s an honor to have the privilege to share this with you. Thank you Rachelle.
A Lamb in the Shepherd’s Arms
by Rachelle Alspaugh
When darkness surrounds you,
and light can’t be seen,
When questions overwhelm you,
And life seems so mean,
Your hopes seem to shatter,
Your faith crumbles at your feet.
Your strength is stolen from you,
You can barely stand the heat.
You’ve reached the point of no return,
But with complete surrender you rest
As a lamb in the Shepherd’s arms,
Lay your head upon His chest.
Allow Him to carry you
To where you’ve never gone before.
He’ll turn your weakness into strength
And give you wings to make you soar.
Heights you’ve never imagined
Wait for your eyes to see.
Only when your heart beats in tune with the Shepherd’s
Can you be all He’s prepared you to be.
Amen to this, “There is one that keeps me from drowning in fear… Jesus.” Thanks for writing on this important subject, Lisa.
