Meet Our Newest Writer For Our Community!!! Desiree will be writing twice a month on Wednesdays. She is here today to introduce herself to you.
Hi! I am Desiree Taylor.
I have been married to my amazing man for almost nineteen years. Duane and I actually met at a youth retreat when I was fourteen and he was sixteen.
I am a mom to two boys. Kyle is twenty-one and David is fifteen. Being a mom has been one of my greatest joys and calling in life.
I accepted Christ at the age of nine. I was baptized and began my walk with Him. In my teen years I took a painful detour and became pregnant with my oldest son. God drew me to Himself and began a long, painful, and restorative healing process in me. That process continues every day and it is a big part of what my writing is about.
I believe God has used my marriage and motherhood to teach me many things I am able to share with others.
My husband and I serve as Deacons at our church. We help with the Young Adults occasionally as well. I have been involved in Women’s Ministries, Leading small groups, and I am involved with the youth girls ministries at church.
Last year I left my job as a Special Education Teacher’s Assistant to being this journey in writing. I began my blog on my website: http://www.arenewedcreation.com, where I write about what God has taught me and continues to teach me on a daily basis.
I am working on writing specific posts for teen girls and I love sharing book reviews on books I have read and the authors who have inspired me and continue to do so.
I am a deaf woman with bilateral cochlear implants. I have a huge heart for adults and children who have disabilities and special needs. I love sharing other’s stories on my website so that people can be more awareness of the different disabilities and the struggles that come along with them. I believe that it helps people to be more compassionate, understanding, and more aware of others when they know what someone is going through.
I love writing about marriage, parenting, and our every day walk with the Lord. Some of my favorites are listed below along with my testimony. I pray that God will bless you and speak to you through each word that is written.
