“God… I feel like a failure.” Does this sound familiar?
God transformed Apostle Paul and He will do new things in us too. Paul who once killed Christians became a Christian. I’m encouraged by what Paul tells us in 2 Timothy 1:9.
“He has saved us and called us to a holy life – not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given to us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time.”
There have been moments where I worry that I will never change. I sometimes define myself by the mistakes I make. I am learning that I can’t get rid of undesirable ways without God’s help. Paul reminds me,
“For the spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.” 2 Timothy 1:7
I noticed a change in my thoughts and actions when I realized that I need to start living an intentional life.
Change happens for me when I continually say “yes” to those things that fit into God’s purpose for my life, and “no” to anything that invites me elsewhere. I am learning as a wife, mom, and writer that these things must come first in my life. I do so much better when I give God all the glory. This keeps the focus off of me.
You my friend have something to offer too. You have value and you matter. When you know what it is that God has given you to do, work hard at it and be faithful. Trust God that He will change you from the inside out.
Are there areas in your life that you need to be more intentional?
