Oh Lord How I Need You! – Wednesdays Wtin Desiree Taylor

This has been a week of sleepless nights, lots of prayer, and PMS. I am sure that many of you women would agree that this is not a good combination.

I  have had several things on my heart this week. My children, busy events coming up, as well as people God has put on my heart to pray for and those I love and minister with and to.

There are so many needs, struggles, and people I love that fill my heart and mind.

I want so much to fix each situation, each broken and grieving heart.

Every time I come to the same realization. I can’t but God can.

I have been working on being intentional about starting my day with the confession, “Oh Lord how I need You!”

I need Him to show me how to love each person.

I need Him to show me when to speak and when to be quiet.

I need Him to teach me how to be a good parent to both my teenager and my adult son.

I can’t do this life on my own.

Are there situations in your life that feel overwhelming? Do you have days that you feel you are failing in your marriage or as a parent? Are you struggling in your walk with the Lord?

Jeremiah 29:13 says “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart, says the Lord.”

Seek Him today!!

When we can say to God, “I can’t do this on my own, I need You!”, it is an invitation for God to do what only He can. He has a strength we can draw from, He has wisdom that is pure and undefiled, and He has  a love that empowers us to love others in a way, only He can.

It is a simple but powerful prayer. I encourage you to make it a daily one and see for yourself how it changes you, your life, and the life of those around you.
