Who Helps The Tired Mom? Mentoring Mondays By Lisa Brown

Parenting is not about doing everything right all the time and having it all together every moment of the day. We want to do things well and not fail. It’s hard to mess up and get back up. Yet we do.

Why?

Because being a Mom is an important job and we have too. We want our children to be successful and we realize as Moms that this is our responsibility.

There are no perfect days and there are no perfect moms.

We don’t always show up on time nor have patience to answer their  questions nicely. We don’t always smile or sing a happy song.

But we can rest in God’s amazing grace.

Being a Mom has many ups and downs. It’s the hardest job ever. We plan, organize, prepare, pray and our days still don’t always turn out sunny side up. A matter a fact our days often end in exhaustion, heart break, and an ocean of tears.

Let’s stop condemning ourselves when we mess up. Instead let’s give thanks to God for giving us strength to carry our children to bed when we are too tired to stand on our own.

God is on our side and He will bring us through.

Isaiah 41:10 “Do not fear, for I am with you; do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.”

My friends I struggle when I make mistakes and I beat myself up. I’m learning that God loves me too much for this. He loves all of us so much and He Cares. Knowing that God cares about me when I struggle with motherhood helps me rest and put my hope in Him.   Take some time today and refresh yourself in God’s arms. He wants to comfort you.   Lisa

  1. Oh so true! When I take the burden of ‘responsibility’ to the point that the outcome of said responsibility is on my shoulders I sag beneath the weight. This is a great reminder to find rest today–soul rest. Thank-you for the encouragement!
